In partnership with our regional distributor, Novus Fire and Security LLC, the Hose Monster team traveled to Dubai to deliver in-depth, practical training for the experts at Emirates Safety Laboratory (ESL).
Training the Experts Who Define the Standards
Emirates Safety Laboratory (ESL) is Dubai’s premier government-controlled fire testing and certification laboratory, serving as the technical authority that supports Civil Defense approvals. ESL’s team evaluates fire protection equipment, develops local testing protocols, and helps determine which methods and tools contractors are permitted to use in the field. Hands-on training with ESL provides the professionals who influence regional requirements with the opportunity to directly assess modern flow-testing methods and equipment performance.
Hands-On with Proven Flow Testing Solutions
The training session focused on the real-world application of Hose Monster flow testing solutions, allowing the ESL team to evaluate equipment that may inform future testing practices across the region. The session included hands-on use of the In-Line Pitotless Nozzle, designed to simplify and standardize flow testing by eliminating the variability associated with traditional pitot methods, along with the Little Hose Monster™, a compact and portable solution for accurate flow measurement. A flushing nozzle was also demonstrated to support proper system flushing and verification. By placing the equipment directly in the hands of ESL’s technical experts, the training emphasized accuracy, repeatability, and ease of use—key considerations when evaluating flow testing methods for broader adoption.
